History Of Charter Fair
The Buckingham Charter Fair is a beloved town tradition that goes back centuries.
It began with a royal charter from Queen Mary I in 1554, followed by another from Charles II in 1658.
These historic charters require the fair to take place on a Saturday each year.
Today the team at Nichols Amusements arrive on Friday to set up, entertain throughout Saturday, and pack away early Sunday morning, often returning the following week to do it all again.
When Is Buckingham Charter Fair 2025?
The Buckingham Charter Fair is set to return on Saturday 25th October 2025 between 13:00 – 23:00, with road closures planned in the town over both weekends.
