Every year, Buckingham bursts into colour thanks to Buckingham in Bloom.

It's a community-led initiative that transforms streets, gardens, and public spaces with stunning displays. 

But it’s not just about the visuals, it’s about creativity and a shared love for the town’s green spaces.

Residents can show off their green thumbs in three categories being best front garden, best hanging baskets or containers, and best community garden.

Local businesses also get a chance to shine, whether they’re small independents or larger establishments.

One key rule? Your display must be visible from the kerbside.

Judges reward imagination as much as effort. They’ll be looking for vibrant colours, plant variety, clever use of space, wildlife-friendly planting, and sustainable designs.

Winners don’t just earn the title. Residential champions are invited to a special awards ceremony where the Mayor presents garden centre vouchers.

The winning businesses receive a trophy and certificate during a personal visit. All are celebrated in a press release complete with photos for everyone to enjoy.
